Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and connecting with sellers and retailers of farm produce, fostering strong relationships, and driving growth for our platform. This role requires excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of the agricultural market, and a passion for building lasting partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential sellers and retailers of farm produce.
- Lead Generation: Generate leads through various channels, including online research, networking events, and referrals.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with sellers and retailers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Negotiation: Negotiate terms and agreements with sellers and retailers to secure mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and support for new partners.
- Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from sellers and retailers to continuously improve our platform and services.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, and client interactions in the CRM system.
- Target Achievement: Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in any domain
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in the agricultural sector.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Understanding of the agricultural market and supply chain is a plus.
